With strategic and thoughtful zoning, I will grow our commercial and retail sectors to create spaces for our residents to have fun while also lowering the property tax burden on our community.
My goal is to create more town amenities that are accessible to all residents, including a community center and library branch. I want our kids to have fond memories of growing up in Providence Village.
Through a small business fund, I will encourage local entrepreneurship within our community with the goal of these businesses eventually becoming cornerstones of our town's economy.
Strengthen our relationship with Aubrey EMS and provide more resources to increase public safety, including investing in lighting our neighborhood streets and enhancing pedestrian safety.
Make zoning decisions that ensure that our town is able to stand out as a desirable destination to experience as the 380 corridor continues to expand while protecting our existing small-town charm.
I grew up in McKinney, TX, and went to Texas State University where I graduated with a degree in Applied Mathematics, with honors. Now I enjoy my career as a financial analyst in mortgage banking, which gives me a unique insight into our small local economy.
In late 2023, I moved to Providence Village with my now-wife, Tilley, our dog, Piper, and cat, Thelma, so we could build our first home and start our family. Last year, I finally married Tilley, and they were able to steal my last name.
We chose to move to Providence Village partially because I have fond memories of Rhode Island as a kid, but mostly because of the town's 2040 plan. I watched firsthand how poor planning turned McKinney into what it is today— nice, but generic and rather difficult to navigate without a vehicle. Meanwhile, Tilley grew up between the unfriendly streets of the Houston Metroplex and the walkable mixed-used seaside streets of historic St. Augustine, FL. We both wanted to raise our family in an area where we could go on family walks to the store, bike rides down nature trails, and maybe even our future kid's friends could ride scooters over to visit.
But these things won't be possible without planning and infrastructure. The decisions Providence Village Town Council makes in the next few years are crucial, as they will lay the groundwork for what the three square miles we call home will be for decades to come. I want what we laid out in that 2040 plan, and I want it to be sustainable. Not just for the original Providence Village development, but for everyone in our town. And I know we can do it. Together.
So please, on May 3rd, Vote Vartian.

I want to create a robust town to raise my family in, and I believe the experience I've gained from working in the mortgage industry as well as serving as an alternate on the Planning & Zoning Committee has given me the skills to help us achieve the goals of our 2040 plan.
Additionally, I want to represent the interests of the entire town, including the 40% of Providence Village that lives outside the original development, and are not represented by the current council.
Currently, I am an alternate for the Providence Village Planning & Zoning Committee. I am oddly the first person on any board or committee in this town that is not from the original Providence Village neighborhood.
Additionally, I am proud to represent my neighbors as their only representation on the Enclave at Pecan Creek HOA Board, which is currently transitioning from being developer-controlled to homeowner controlled.
If you see me on a walk with Piper and ask nicely, probably. But I will warn you, while she is friendly, she is very shy. My wife says Piper is constantly auditioning for an ASPCA commercial, and honestly, I see it.
